LAKE OSWEGO, Ore. --A home was evacuated Monday evening due to the threat of a landslide that may have been caused by a neighbor's leaky water line. .

On Monday a homeowner at 1747 Upper Cherry Lane noticed a section of nearby hillside was missing and that mud and debris were collecting at the back of another house downhill on Meadows Dr. and called emergency responders, Lake Oswego Fire Department officials said.

The home owner on Meadows Dr. was evacuated. A leak from a water line going from the house at 1747 Upper Cherry Lane to the street was discovered, officials said.

The home owner from the Meadows Dr. house will stay at a friend's house until the situation can be evaluated further.
