PORTLAND – A judge has again postponed divorce proceedings for the father and stepmother of missing Portland boy Kyron Horman.
Kyron’s father Kaine Horman filed for divorce shortly after his son disappeared in June of 2010 from Skyline School in suburban Portland.
Judge Henry Kantor delayed the case until August 1 of this year.
Law enforcement authorities informed him they had learned his wife, Terri Moulton Horman, allegedly tried to solicit a landscaper to kill him about six months before Kyron's disappearance. Terri Horman was the last person known to have seen Kyron.
He was 7 when he disappeared. Last fall, a Portland judge ruled that a lawsuit filed against Terri Horman by the boy’s biological mother, Desiree Young, could go forward.
Young alleges Terri Horman has knowledge of what happened to the boy.
Terri Horman sought the delay, saying the suit would be a proxy for a criminal investigation.
Detectives have focused on her, although they haven't called her a suspect.
