VANCOUVER -- A suspect in a violent skateboard attack in a Vancouver park last week has been arrested, police said.
Jason A. Hanson, 23, is accused of repeatedly punching a 64-year-old year old man in the face after a female accomplice had already bashed the man in the head with a skateboard.
The beating was reported just before 9 p.m. on June 24 at Esther Short Park. The female reportedly asked the victim for money and yelled a racial slur at him before the attack.

Hanson was arrested in Salem on unrelated charges Monday. Detectives will work to bring Hanson back to Vancouver to face assault charges for the attack.
The female suspect had already been arrested. She is a juvenile, so her identity was not released.
