BEAVERTON, Ore. – Investigators determined that a fire was intentionally set at a sex offender treatment center near Beaverton Saturday morning.
The Center for Behavioral Intervention, which is a home converted for commercial use at 4345 SW 109th Avenue, caught fire around 8:23 a.m., said a spokesperson from Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue.
Investigators said the business was also ransacked and money was taken.
Arriving firefighters saw smoke coming from the roof and all the windows of the home. The fire was isolated to the garage and firefighters quickly stopped the flames. No one was in the home at the time.
