PORTLAND - A massive indoor marijuana grow has been discovered in a Southeast Portland home.
Police said the home on the 11800 block of SE Powell contained between more than 1,000 plants. It was unknown if anyone was living at the home.
Detectives arrested two Chinese nationals, 45-year-old De Bin Zhen and 51-year-old Fujiu Chen at their homes in Southeast Portland.
In all, around 2,000 plants were found at an estimated street value of $2 mllion.
Power lines and boxes had been rigged to run into the houses to run a network of transformers, lights and filtration systems.
Investigators said aside from illegally diverting the power, the system was also a fire hazard.
