PORTLAND -- A crash just north of the Fremont Bridge had traffic on Interstate 5 northbound, backed up for an hour as of 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
The accident, located near North Killingsworth Street, closed I-5 down to one lane for approximately one hour. Traffic was backed up all the way to downtown and south down to the Terwilliger Curves.
As of 4:45 p.m. all the lanes were cleared and the wreckage of the vehicle had been moved over to the side of the highway.
The closure had doubled and even quadrupled some drive times, according to KGW Traffic reporter Chris McGinnis.
