Hood to Coast wraps up another big year

SEASIDE, Ore. – More than 12,000 runners crossed the Hood to Coast finish line Saturday in Seaside, Ore. after making the nearly 200-mile trek from Timberline Lodge in the Hood to Coast relay race.

The relay race, which was billed as the largest relay race in the world, sent teams of six to 12 people running from Timberline Lodge to the Oregon Coast at Seaside.

Around 5,000 people also competed in the Portland to Coast walk relay race and the Portland to Coast race for high school students.

The overall winning team was “Team BAC Men” with a time of 17 hours and 52 minutes.

The Portland to Coast walk relay winner was “Team Racewalkers NW - #2001 A Pace Idiocy” with a time of 22:17:27.

The high-school race winners were” Team Olympia Slackers,” who finished in just over 13 hours and 33 minutes.

KGW’s relay team, KGW Running Footage, finished in a respectable 605th place with a time of 30:14:29. For a full list of results, click here.
