Hillsboro dad sentenced to 20 years for killing toddler

HILLSBORO, Ore. - A 32-year-old father was sentenced to 20 years in prison Tuesday for killing his 2-month old by abuse.

Eber Gramajo-Calderon pleaded guilty to manslaughter. A murder charge was dismissed in a plea agreement.

Washington County deputies arrested Gramajo was arrested for assault in August after the girl was taken to the hospital for a head injury.

Detectives found Maya Gramajo unconscious and not breathing, with a closed head injury at the home on the 20500 block of SW Anna Court in Aloha.

The infant was taken to a local hospital and later died.

Police said Gramajo also has a 16-month-old boy who was being taken care of by relatives. Maya's mother was not home at the time and did not face any charges.
