PORTLAND – An enormous rabbit is up for adoption, just in time for Easter.

‘Wally’ is a Flemish Giant rabbit currently available at the Oregon Humane Society.

On Easter Sunday, Wally and the other adoptable rabbits were welcoming the public from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 1067 NE Columbia Blvd.

“[Wally] won’t be available for adoption until sometime next week,” said OHS spokeswoman Barbara Baugnon, but she said other rabbits were available to take home on Easter Sunday.

She said that although Wally is enormous, he is "deceptively light" and only weighs 13 pounds.

Baugnon said Wally and other rabbits should be able to get along with dogs and cats, can be litter-box trained, and usually live from 8 to 15 years.

Rabbit adoptions at OHS are $35.
