California drivers are reeling after gas prices jumped overnight, increasing by as much as 20 cents in a day.
Gas is now $5.69 per gallon in some parts of Los Angeles.
Drivers in other parts of the state are paying an average of $4.50 per gallon, the highest in the nation according to AAA’s Daily Fuel Gauge report
Many gas stations, including some Costco locations, are just shutting down rather than charge the record prices, which are being blamed on refinery problems.
