PORTLAND – A cougar was reportedly roaming in Southeast Portland’s Mill Park neighborhood early Sunday morning.
“Two different callers reported seeing the full-sized cougar heading North across Southeast Division Street and into the neighborhood,” said Sgt. Pete Simpson of Portland police.
Officers checked the area but didn’t find the big cat.
The report comes just days after multiple people spotted cougars at Jackson Bottom Wetlands Preserve in Hillsboro.
Simpson said anyone who spots the cougar should not approach it and immediately call 911.
