CLACKAMAS, Ore. -- The sounds of holiday caroling filled the food court at the Clackamas Town Center Wednesday night, as a Christmas flash mob performed just steps away from the scene of last week's shooting spree.
Lisa Nowak said she came up with the idea, to help people come together and heal.
“We can't let the darkness inside a few disturbed individuals extinguish the light within us all,” she told KGW.
Nowak said she wasn't sure mall security would allow an event designed to surprise shoppers, but mall management appreciated the gesture. And so did the many people who spontaneously joined in.
