First 787 commercial flight to US lands safely

BOSTON - The first commercial 787 Dreamliner flight to the U.S. arrived in Boston on Sunday.

Japan Airlines launched nonstop service from Boston Logan International Airport to Tokyo's Narita Airport using the new Boeing 787.

Officials held a ceremony at Logan on Sunday to mark the arrival of the first flight.

On Monday Gov. Deval Patrick will hold a separate celebration of the direct-route flight at a Statehouse event.
