PORTLAND -- Three homes were damaged in an early morning house fire in Northeast Portland on Wednesday.
Just after 2:20 a.m., Portland firefighters responded to the fire at a vacant house in the 14900 block of Northeast Graham Street, after a neighbor reported hearing glass windows breaking.
By the time firefighters arrived, the house was fully engulfed in flames, and the fire had spread to two nearby homes.
Residents in both homes were able to get out safely and watch from the sidewalk as firefighters put out the fire.
"I said 'save my house!' neighbor Doan Baca told KGW. "This one is already burning! Mine not burn yet, but save my house,"
A family of four was displaced after their attic was badly damaged from the fire. They were being assisted by the Red Cross.
Neighbors told firefighters that the people living in the vacant home had moved out about a week ago.
Investigators spent Wednesday morning working to determine a cause.
