LAKE OSWEGO, Ore. -- A large tree blocked all lanes of A Avenue in Lake Oswego at 8th Street for most of the day Thursday.
The nearly 60-foot tree was blown down around 9 a.m. Lake Oswego police said luckily no cars or pedestrians were around when it fell.
The tree also missed hitting any nearby homes. Electrical crews were on scene for hours untangling snapped power lines from the branches before the tree was removed.
Police said the road was reopened just after 3 p.m.
