EUGENE, Ore. -- A Eugene man who police say is homeless has been sentenced to 120 years in prison after he was found guilty of rape and kidnapping charges.
The Eugene Register-Guard reports 29-year-old Michael A. Eastman was convicted of sexually assaulting an 18-year-old woman in a field near an interstate in 2012.
Eastman was convicted of three counts of first-degree rape and one count of first-degree kidnapping. Each charge carried a 30-year sentence.
Eastman was labeled a dangerous offender. Under Oregon law, that means a person has a psychological condition that makes them likely to reoffend.
