BEAVERTON – A Beaverton teacher on her way to school Monday escaped injury when a tree crushed her car.
Kristie Russell was on Farmington Road heading to Beaverton High School around 6 a.m. when the 50-foot tree fell.
Russell said she saw it off to her right but didn't have time to do anything but hold on tight and hope for the best.
“You can see the damage all the way across from the front over the top to the back, it came out in one piece, I feel very fortunate,” she said.
Russell said she had just finished paying off the car over the weekend.
