PORTLAND - A puppy was rescued after falling 150 feet over a cliff in the Columbia River Gorge.
"Riley" got too close to a ledge while with his owner on a hike on the Oneonta trail Wednesday. The dog got stuck in a ravine by Triple Falls.

Owner Ashley parson called for help, but rescue crews couldn't come out until daylight.
Thursday afternoon, a rescuer from the Oregon Humane Society Technical Rescue team was lowered down a cliff to get to the hound mix puppy. It took about half an hour before the dog got comfortable with rescuers - then was fitted into a harness and pulled up.
After 19 hours, Parson finally got her puppy back.
"Just hold her, hug her, I think I'm going to try to carry her the whole way, take her home, get her lots of food and maybe get her a new toy, just have a really relaxing afternoon with her. She deserves it," Parson said.
Parson said she learned a big lesson -- always keep your dog on a leash.
