PORTLAND – Investigators believe a Keizer teen accused of killing his mother and shooting his father hired a friend to help him, according to court documents.
Brett Angus Pearson and Robert Daniel Miller II, both 17, are accused of shooting 44-year old Michelle Yvonne Pearson and her husband, 57-year old Wilfred “Bill” Pearson on March 5.
The two teens appeared in court Thursday and court documents revealed Pearson paid Miller to help kill his parents.
Both teens were charged with aggravated murder, attempted aggravated murder, attempted aggravated murder with a firearm and conspiracy to commit aggravated murder.
Pearson intentionally solicited and agreed to pay Robert Miller money “to unlawfully and intentionally cause the death of Michelle Pearson,” documents say.
On the night of the murder, police found Michelle Pearson dead inside her home from a gunshot wounds. Wilfred Pearson was shot and taken to Salem Hospital, according to police.
The teens left the house before police arrived. Brett Pearson was pulled over and taken into custody about 90 minutes later. Miller checked into a Salem motel, where he was found and taken into custody later that evening.
Neither teen entered a plea in court Thursday. Their next court appearance was set for mid April.
