GRESHAM, Ore. – As teachers set to strike, both the Gresham-Barlow and Parkrose school districts have released similar plans to continue without them, if necessary.
If the strikes occur, both districts plan to close schools for the remainder of the week, April 25-27. Districts would then gradually add back services including classroom instruction.
The teacher’s unions in both districts have set strike dates of Wednesday, April 25. Teachers have made it clear they plan to strike if contract negotiations remain at an impasse.
Both districts have imposed key elements of their contract proposal on teachers.
