PORTLAND – A dead man found in the backyard of a Southeast Portland home Saturday morning has been identified and investigators said there were no signs of violence.
Portland police responded to the report of the body in the 13000 block of Southeast Lincoln Street around 11 a.m. Saturday.
The deceased man did not live at the residence and it was unknown how his body got there.
On Monday, police identified him as 31-year-old Chad Wang, whose last known residence was in Bingen, Washington, about 65 miles east of Portland in the Columbia River Gorge.
The Oregon State Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy and said it did not appear to be a homicide. Investigators are still awaiting toxicology results, in order to determine the exact cause of death.
