WOODBURN, Ore. – A man driving under the influence told police he hoped to “be a .07” after he was pulled over Sunday morning.
A deputy stopped an Acura driving around 100 miles per hour just before 7:30 a.m. in the Interstate 5 construction zone near Woodburn, police said.
Samuel Purtle, 46, told the deputy, “I will probably blow a .12 but I’m hoping to be a .07.”
After failing a field sobriety test, Purtle’s blood-alcohol content was found to be .15.
He was arrested for DUII, given several traffic citations and taken to the Marion County jail.
