OAK GROVE – A man was taken to jail for DUII after colliding with another car on Highway 99E near Oak Grove Saturday night, police said.
Shortly before 8 p.m., 66-year-old Michael Dec was driving a 2007 Ford pickup and turned left across southbound lanes, colliding nearly head-on with 59-year-old Cathy Bennett from West Linn, said Lt. Gregg Hastings with Oregon State Police.
Bennett was taken to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
Dec was also taken to the hospital and then booked into the Clackamas County Jail for DUII, reckless driving and assault, Hastings said.
Christopher Myers, 48, from Milwaukie was standing nearby the crash and received minor injuries after getting hit by debris from the accident. After he was released from the hospital, deputies discovered he had an outstanding warrant and he was arrested, Hastings said.
