BEND, Ore. -- A Bend officer was injured after a DUII suspect crashed into his patrol car late Tuesday night, police said.
Officer Justin Lovrien had concluded a traffic stop just before 12:30 a.m. along Bend Parkway and was seated in his his patrol car when it was struck from behind, said Oregon State Police Lt. Gregg Hastings.
He was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital, where he was treated for minor injuries and released.
The driver of the other vehicle, 35-year-old Tina Rae Taylor of Bend (pictured), was not injured. She was jailed on charges of third-degree assault, reckless driving and DUII.
