SHERWOOD – A DUII driver crashed into a power pole Friday snapping it in half near Sherwood, deputies said.
At 11:11 a.m., paramedics found 49-year-old Gail Feldman of Wilsonville in a crashed BMW next to a downed power pole on Tonquin Road near Sherwood, said Sgt. Vance Stimler with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said Feldman was acting “abnormally” before she was taken in an ambulance to Oregon Health & Science University, Stimler said.
A subsequent test revealed Feldman was driving with a blood alcohol content higher than the legal limit, Stimler said.
She was cited for DUII, reckless driving, and criminal mischief.
Tonquin Road was closed for several hours while PGE crews replaced the power pole.
