SALMON CREEK, Wash. -- A student at a Salmon Creek school was disciplined after taking an "upskirt" photo of a teacher, according to school district officials.

As first reported in The Columbian, a male student at Skyview High School took the picture up a female teacher's skirt on March 18.

"Inappropriate use of technology is not allowed," Vancouver Public Schools spokeswoman Pat Mattison told KGW.

She said a full investigation was conducted and the appropriate disciplinary action was taken. She did not say what the that action was.

The Clark County Sheriff's Office was investigating to see if criminal charges were warranted, according to Sgt. Fred Nieman. He said investigators confiscated the phone for forensic evidence and were considering voyeurism charges.

The student and teacher involved were not identified.
