PORTLAND – The deadline to pay Portland’s Arts Tax on time has passed.

The city’s revenue bureau said it has received approximately $7.6 million in arts tax payments from more than 248,000 people. The city expects to collect $8.3 million by June 30.

Once the city finishes processing the tax payments, it will issue refunds in July to those who don’t need to pay.

Collection letters will be sent in August. Portland residents who failed to pay the tax by June 10 will be charged a $15 late fee.
