FAIRVIEW, Ore. -- A Fairview woman was arrested Monday in connection with the death of her boyfriend's 10-year-old daughter, police said, and she now faces seven charges for related crimes between June and November.

Chandra Ilene Rose has been charged with six counts of first degree criminal mistreatment and one count of coercion in the death of Miranda Crockett at the Kings Garden Apartments on Northeast 207th Avenue in Fairview, according to Fairview Police Chief Ken Johnson.

The details of Crockett's death have not been released, but two of the criminal mistreatment charges filed against Rose allege that "on or about November 24" she unlawfully, intentionally and knowingly caused physical harm to the girl. Two additional charges accuse Rose of similar mistreatment "on or between June 1, 2012 and November 21, 2012."

The three remaining mistreatment charges accuse Rose of "withholding necessary and adequate physical care from" Crockett while the girl was under her supervision.

The coercion charge alleges that Rose compelled Crockett to engage in conduct from which she legally had a right to abstain, by threatening physical injury.

Each of the seven charges is a Class C felony. The incident was likely outlined in a probable cause document, but that document has been sealed. Rose's bail was set at $100,000.

Chief Johnson told KGW Tuesday that Rose is the girlfriend of the victim's father.
