PRINEVILLE, Ore. -- Crook County sheriff's officers say a 27-year-old Redmond, Ore., man was killed when a 1,500-pound metal press fell on him Wednesday at the Fontana Wood Products mill northwest of Prineville.

KTVZ-TV saysDeputy Ryan Seaney identified the victim as Joshua Lee Ketchem.

The deputy says Ketchem had been working alone underneath a large metal press, supported by a forklift, when the press fell on him.

Other employees found him a short time later and lifted off the press.

Medics were unable to revive him.

The deputy says an investigation is continuing.
