PORTLAND – A thief broke into a car inside of a Northeast Portland parking garage and stole a woman’s purse with her IDs, credit cards, cash and a camera last April and now police need the public’s help tracking down the prowler.

On April 27 at around 7:15 p.m., the thief hit the car in the Liberty Centre parking garage at 650 Northeast Holladay Street, police said.

The thief was then caught on camera using  the victim’s credit card to buy TriMet passes.

The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic man in his 20s, 5-foot-9, 170 pounds, wearing a plaid shirt, dark jeans and white shoes.

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest in the case. Leave a tip at 503-823-4357.
