CLATSKANIE -- A Camas, Wash., man died early Friday evening in a crash on Oregon 30 about five miles west of Clatskanie.
Hans Sundqvist, 57, was pronounced dead at the scene of the two-vehicle crash. Jeffrey Kimball, 60, of Portland, was taken by Lifeflight to Legacy Emanuel with critical injuries.
Oregon State Police Senior Trooper Randy Fargher said Kimball was westbound in a 1978 Ford Courier when he crossed the centerline and crashed into Sundqvist's eastbound 1989 Honda Accord.
The accident closed Oregon 30 for about four hours.
