PORTLAND - A vandal who targeted new cars at a Northeast Portland lot was on the loose Wednesday.
Early Wednesday morning officers responded to a report of someone spraying water with a yellow and red toy pump-action spray gun onto cars at Vic Alfonso Cadillac-Hummer on 633 Northeast 12th Avenue.
Police discovered the liquid was some kind of corrosive agent that damaged the paint on five new Cadillacs.
The suspect was last seen running eastbound on NE Glisan, police said.
The suspect was described as a white male, 30-40 years old, 5-foot 7 inches tall, weighing 160 pounds, with black, shaggy hair and beard, dark clothing, hiking boots, and wearing a beanie cap.
The initial damage estimate exceeded $10,000, investigators said.
