PORTLAND – Burglars drove their truck through the wall of The MacPac store in Northeast Portland and got away with iPads, MacBooks and more.
But the heist was all caught on tape, and cameras got a clear look at the suspects. “The last person who did this we put away,” MacPac co-owner Randy Feldman told KGW, “so hopefully this will work the same way.”
The burglary happened around 6:30 a.m. Saturday on NE Whitaker Way, near NE 122nd Avenue. Police arrived within one minute of the break-in, Feldman said.
The thieves also damaged an Apple museum inside of the store, which had computers dating back to 1983 on display.
The suspects were still at large. They were driving a full-sized gray pickup with a “diamond-plate toolbox” in the bed, police said.
Anyone with information was asked to call Portland Police.
