SALEM – Police arrested two suspects wanted for the murder of a 23-year-old man in Salem last Saturday.
Police in Independence spotted 22-year-old Lorenzo Lopez-Gordillo (pictured left) and his brother 23-year-old Eddie Lopez (pictured right) walking along Monmouth Avenue around 1 p.m. Friday, said Lt. Steve Birr with Salem police.
The brothers were wanted in the shooting death of Charlie Rivera of Woodburn.
On Tuesday, a SWAT Team served a search warrant at the brother’s home in Gervais but they were not home, Birr said.
Rivera died Saturday evening at Salem Hospital after he was found shot multiple times in the parking lot of the Londonaire apartment complex at 955 Concord Street Northeast.
Lopez and Lopez-Gordillo were booked in the Marion County Jail on murder charges.
