SANDY, Ore. -- A 13-year-old boy was struck by a car in a crosswalk around 10:30 p.m. Saturday night on Proctor Boulevard in Sandy, police said.
A 24-year-old man from Elmsford, New York was driving a Dodge truck and tried to pass a car that was letting the boy cross the street, said Sam Craven of the Sandy Police Department.
The boy was taken by ambulance to Mt. Hood Medical Center with minor injuries.
