PORTLAND – Boston will be on the minds of runners taking part in Rock n roll half marathon.

On Saturday, runners picked up their packets and T-shirts at the expo center.

Most people said they will be thinking of the Boston runners as they wind their way through Portland’s course.

They said they refuse to let the attack on Boston keep them from running the race.

"We're definitely running for Boston but no that's not going to stop us in the least from doing any of these kind of events," said runner Lora Woodruff.

"You know we can't let things like that stop us from doing what we want to do otherwise they've won," said runner Andy Woodruff.

Blue wrist bands are on sale to raise money for the wounded who still need care in Boston.
