SWEET HOME, Ore. – The body of a missing man found in a pond near Sweet Home has been ruled a homicide, police said.

Tim Miller’s body was found in a shallow pond at a rural property at 25491 Crescent Hill Road known as the Rockin Red Ranch on May 7.

His son, Jason Miller, had reported him missing the day before, according to the Linn County Sheriff’s Office.

An autopsy conducted Thursday showed Miller died of homicidal violence.

The Sheriff’s Office and the Linn County Major Crimes Team were investigating the homicide.
