BEND, Ore. -- Bend Police Chief Jeff Sale says he's embarrassed by a sex scandal in the department.
He told KTVZ the department is reviewing policies to make sure it doesn't happen again, then moving on.
The officer who was the department's spokesman, Lt. Chris Carney, was accused of having sex with three city employees and a member of the media. Investigative documents say some encounters occurred when Carney was on duty and at the office or in a police vehicle.
Carney was placed on paid leave on Oct. 31 and resigned while facing termination.
The district attorney's office is reviewing the case.
