BEAVERTON, Ore. -- A driver crashed into two parked cars, two trees, two pedestrians and a moving car in Beaverton Monday afternoon, police said.

Steven Brown, 66, of Portland, was driving with a plastic walking cast on his foot when he crashed near the New Seasons store at 3495 SW Cedar Hills Blvd., said Beaverton Police Department spokesman Mike Rowe. Rowe said the cast had become stuck on the gas pedal.

One of the pedestrians suffered serious injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital. The other pedestrian suffered minor injuries.

There were no reports of injuries to Brown or the occupants of the moving vehicle involved in the crash.

Brown was not issued a citation at this time and police said the case was going under review.
