ASTORIA, Ore. (AP) -- A worker suffered a traumatic head injury when he was hit by a manhole cover that popped up during water pressure testing.

A second worker had minor injuries and both were taken to Columbia Memorial Hospital. The Daily Astorian reports (http://bit.ly/1bSuczi ) it happened Wednesday afternoon as contractors were testing water pipe pressure.
