CLACKAMAS, Ore. -- Six vehicles were torched by an arsonist outside a Clackamas business early Wednesday morning, officials said.
Crews were called to the report of a commercial fire near Southeast 117th Avenue and Jennifer Street just before 3 a.m., according to the Clackamas Fire District.
Firefighters at the scene found three semi trailers and three passenger vehicles on fire outside RAM Express. The vehicles were completely destroyed, with damage estimated at $250,000.
An arson-sniffing dog was brought to the scene to help investigators pin point exactly where the fire started.
"At this point our fire investigators are here and they're gonna be working with the Oregon State Police and the Clackamas County Sheriff ... to find the cause of the fire," said Brandon Paxton of the Clackamas Fire District. "We've determined it's arson, it's just a matter of putting all the pieces together now."
Anyone with information was asked to call the Clackamas Fire Prevention Office at 503-742-2660.
