PORTLAND – The suspected driver in a North Portland hit-and-run was arrested Thursday.
The victim, 32-year-old Ryan Hendryx, was crossing the intersection at North Vancouver Avenue and Weidler after leaving a Trailblazer's game on December 13 when he was hit and seriously injured.
Police charged 28-year-old Ronald Jacko with failure to perform the duties of a driver and tampering with evidence.
Hendryx was hit hard enough to go up onto the hood and shatter the car’s windshield, according to police.
Investigators eventually found the vehicle, which had already received a new windshield.
