PORTLAND – A brand new Apple Store officially opened Saturday at 10 a.m. and throngs of people waited in line to check out the new retail space.
The 23,000-square-foot store, which took over the old Saks Fifth Avenue location, replaces the much smaller Apple Store that used to be on the lower level of Pioneer Place.
Apple officials said the new location offers more space for workshops, training, and merchandise. The Genius Bar is also much larger for customer support services.
The first 1,000 customers took home a commemorative T-shirt.
