ALOHA, Ore. – A Washington County Deputy on patrol for DUII enforcement was hit by a drunk driver early Sunday morning in Aloha, authorities said.

Around 1:30 a.m., the deputy was driving westbound on Southwest Tualatin Valley Highway when a car drove into his path near Southwest 185th Avenue, said Sgt. Bob Ray with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

Alfredo Losoya, 25, pulled onto the highway from a parking lot and was hit in the front bumper by the deputy who was unable to avoid the collision, Ray said.

Deputies learned Losoya was drinking at a nearby bar just before the crash. The deputy was treated and released from a local hospital with minor injuries, Ray said.

Losoya was not injured and booked in the Washington County Jail on DUII charges.
