ALBANY -- An Albany metal shop teacher was accused of child sex crimes for reportedly paying a 16-year-old to provide him with explicit photographs and videos of herself.

David W. Wright II, 45, teaches at South Albany High School. The alleged victim was not involved with his work, according to Linn County Under sheriff Bruce Riley.

A warrant was served Thursday at his home and police left with laptop computers and cell phones, Riley said. Wright was cooperative and admitted to the allegations, Riley said.

Anyone with additional information was asked to call Detective Sally Jo Donahue at 541-967-3950.

Wright was jailed for one count for third-degree sex abuse and two counts of using a child in a display of sexually explicit content.
