PORTLAND -- A powerful wind storm slammed the Portland area early Tuesday evening, knocking down trees and power lines.
A tree fell near a home in the Sellwood, near Southeast 7th Street and Spokane Avenue. No one was hurt.
The storm also brought heavy, driving rain and knocked out power for thousands of Portland General Electric customers, mostly in the Clackamas area.
