HILLSBORO, Ore. -- Deputies seized about 900 stolen items when they broke up a burglary ring in April, and they are working to reunite the victims with their property.
At least six suspects have been connected with several burglaries in and around Forest Grove, Cornelius and Hillsboro, said Sgt. Bob Ray of the Washington County Sheriff's Office.
Most of the stolen property was recovered from a home at 24490 SW Farmington Rd. on April 18, 2014. Items included jewelry, guns and tools.
But the victims have not all been identified. Those who have say it has been a tough ordeal.
"We learned a hard lesson that it (crime) can happen to anyone anywhere," said Karl Goetze. "It doesn't feel good and leaves you uneasy."
If you were a victim, you can view and possibly reclaim your property online.
Ray also mentioned several notable items that have not yet been recovered:
- 2 white 2003 Suzuki LTZ400 ATV's
- 1977 Norman Rockwell plate "Painting the Fence"
- Ajax peanut machine
- Vintage 1927 John Deere metal airplane bank
Anyone who has seen these items or has more information on the burglaries was asked to call WCSO at 503-846-2700.
