GRANTS PASS, Ore. (AP) — Police have seized 67 guns — including semi-automatic rifles, pistols, shotguns and black powder firearms — in a raid on a medical marijuana site in Southern Oregon.
The Grants Pass Daily Courier reported Thursday that two people have been arraigned on charges stemming from the raid that also seized marijuana from a rural home in Selma.
Police say 54-year-old Raymond J. Beairsto and 50-year-old Karen Beairsto face charges of illegal manufacture and sale of marijuana, and illegal possession of guns.
According to an affidavit, police went to the home based on a tip, but were refused permission to search the place.
Police later picked up a man leaving the property who said he had been trimming marijuana buds, and police went back and arrested Ray Baeirsto.
