PORTLAND -- Authorities say four people ended up with stab wounds after a birthday party in Southeast Portland went awry.
Gresham police say the wounded individuals and reported attacker are all affiliated with gangs in and around Portland.
Officers responded to multiple calls at the residence Saturday evening and Sunday morning, according to Portland Police Bureau Sgt. Pete Simpson. Reports of noise, multiple fights and a large bonfire were related to a birthday party there.
The stabbing suspect -- described as a muscular male in his late teens -- managed to get away. The ages of the four wounded ranged from 18 to 20 years old.
Portland Police and the Gang Enforcement team are collaborating to investigate the stabbings.
