SEATTLE – Authorities have a second person in custody in the shooting death of Washington State Trooper Tony Radulescu.

The Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office said the woman is in jail for investigation of rendering criminal assistance. More details were expected at a 10 a.m. press conference.

Radulescu, 44, was shot and killed during a traffic stop early Thursday morning on Highway 16 near Gorst.

Police say suspect Joshua Jearl Blake, 28, shot and killed himself as a tactical team closed in on the home where he was hiding. The ex-con had a history of antagonizing police and once threatened to kill a law enforcement officer, according to Department of Corrections records.

Radulescu was a 16-year patrol veteran who served his entire career in the area. He was known in the community as "Trooper Tony."

No information about a public memorial has been released.
